Your goals will be tracked and regularly monitored to the level that our elite athletes receive. Our experience working with athletic populations as well as highly driven general population clients, combined with the holistic approach of combining exercise, nutrition and lifestyle management makes our service truly unique.

However, we only work with a limited number of highly motivated individuals in order to keep the quality of our service exceptionally high. This is a key component of our service. There is no point enrolling in a programme that doesn’t have the time to consider your goals to the extent you require. How does it work?

There are two formats that we utilise which are:

  1. Individual Coaching
  2. Small Group Coaching

Individual coaching sessions are just that, a 1-on-1 service specifically tailored to your needs through our assessment procedure.

Small group coaching is a more flexible option in that you receive exactly the same level of service in terms of assessments and programme design as well as regular monitoring of your progress, however your sessions will be with other likeminded people all working to their own fully individualized programme in a small group format.

Who are we?

Brendan Chaplin MSc ASCC CSCS: Director of Programmes and Lead Trainer

Brendan has worked with a variety of athletic populations from recreational athletes through to Olympians. Currently he is the head of Strength and Conditioning for Leeds Met Carnegie and has numerous private clients including champion Mixed Martial Artists, football players, tennis athletes and many other sportsmen and women as well as executive clients.  Previous to his current roles he has worked as a strength and conditioning coach for Huddersfield Giants Rugby League, the English Institute of Sport, Durham University, British Tennis (the Lawn Tennis Association) and has worked with many national governing bodies and sports teams as a coach, coach educator, and consultant. He is also a regular contributer to many magazines and websites including Mens Health, Fighting Fit, Tennis Life, Martial Arts Illustrated and many more.

My passion for sport and fitness started at a young age and I have competed at a high level in Rugby Union.  For a numbers of years I have being a strong believer in the importance and power of Strength and Conditioning, in enabling athletes and personal training clients to achieve their goals and aspirations.  I have a strong knowledge base of the Strength and Conditioning Industry and have spent many years learning my craft, through professional mentorships in the United States, networking with fellow coaches, attending seminars run by leaders in the field, courses and internships.   I am constantly striving to continue my professional development and believe learning never stops.  The Strength and Conditioning Industry is fast paced and never stands still which I find irresistible.  This industry is my passion!  I ensure I keep current with research, training methodologies and evidence based practice to guarantee my clients and athletes achieve optimum results.

I have worked with both professional athletes and the general public.  My experience of athletes includes professional and amateur MMA fighters and boxers, Leeds Carnegie Rugby League, GB Badminton and University Netball.  With all my clients I work with them to achieve their training goals, whether it is sports performance, fat loss, physique transformation or general health and wellbeing.

Where do we work?

We are based in the Headingley area of Leeds and work out of Leeds Metropolitan University gymnasium. This is a beautiful part of the city and we have an excellent facility which is the envy of many gyms in the country. Many of our clients travel for many miles to get to us, however there are options to work with you at other locations including your home, to suit your requirements.
